QUALITY SYSTEMS
ISO9000:2001
The revised standard came into effect in November 2000.
To meet the new requirements, you need to be able to demonstrate that
 | The quality of your product or service meets the customers requirements, including
any legal requirements, and the quality is improving |
 | You are measuring the feedback from your customers to show that you are meeting their
requirements. To do this, you need to be clear about who your customers are. They are not
just the people who pay the bills. |
 | You are auditing your own performance against targets and objectives which you have set.
This means that your internal auditors will spend more time checking that quality
standards are being achieved, rather than checking compliance with procedures. |
To help with this, I
 | Carry out a gap analysis to see where your system is today against where you need to be. |
 | Write the procedures you will need to comply with the revised standard |
 | Help you implement those procedures |
 | Write audit checklists to cover the new procedures, and train your auditors in their new
requirements. |
